Garden of Senses

Blå Hallen, Höganäs, Sweden
18 July to 10 August 2025

Tage Andersen’s work and vision transcend boundaries, harmoniously blending art, nature, and design into sensory installations and floral compositions, where the pieces possess a sculptural quality that feels both timeless and contemporary.

What becomes of a life dedicated to art and creation? How does one honour a legacy - a vision - that continues to grow, evolve, and inspire new generations?

This summer, Blå Hallen opens its doors to The Garden of the Senses - a tribute to Tage Andersen’s universe.

The exhibition is a curated journey through selected works and ideas from across Tage Andersen’s life. Imaginative and richly atmospheric, it has been created in close collaboration with some of his closest collaborators - led by his life partner, Monz.

Tage Andersen was born on 29 March 1947 in Heltborg, in the northwestern part of Jutland. He is renowned for his extraordinary floral art and uncompromising visual language. Through installations, floral compositions, and enchanting environments, he invites us into a world where art, nature, and craftsmanship seamlessly merge.

Over the years, Tage Andersen’s creations have found their way into castles, churches, theatres, museums, restaurants, and botanical gardens; with notable exhibitions at the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK), Millesgården in Stockholm, Charlottenborg, and Rosenborg Castle.

At Blå Hallen, we celebrate Tage Andersen’s many talents - as a floral artist, scenographer, designer, and artist - and above all, his vision as a life artist. Step into a sensory universe and experience the art of living beautifully.
