In this book Tage Andersen shares his immediate joy in working with flowers. I have deliberately sought to develop lushness from a sparse and, at times, almost ascetic simplicity. Such development is, of course, not always easy. It must constantly be guided so as not to become vulgar or common.

Flowers are a fantastic medium of expression through which one can convey the unsaid. The bouquets in these pictures, so beautifully captured by Bent Rej, hopefully each have their own language. Some are intended to be tender and poetic - others potent and dramatic. But all have been created in a lush period, with joy and love for life and for flowers.
